Most of us are afraid of something moving inside us repeatedly. We feel something we don't want to feel, then we say to ourselves, "I'd better not feel that," and little by little we find that we come into conflict with something inside ourselves if the feeling is strong enough.

You may feel that someone is staring at you with their round eyes glowing from behind the bushes, and you start to slowly move away from them. You see their eyes narrowing eerily and their limbs preparing to move, so you turn and run away, but they follow you and try to catch you.

Well, not all feelings that are ignored work like this; many, if not most, of the feelings disappear once they pass, but some feelings that bother you remain and will not go away, such as feelings of fear, anger, resentment, and jealousy.

Do you worry about your anxiety?

Have you ever noticed that the moment you feel anxious, you start worrying, and that makes your anxiety double? Or when you are sad or afraid, you go mad and disgusted with yourself for being weak?

Well, what if you are angry, afraid, anxious, depressed, or hypersensitive? You are human after all and therefore subject to negative feelings, but this does not mean that you should give up and believe in the things, thoughts, or feelings that are running through your mind when you are stuck in an emotional or psychological state.

Hurt Feelings

What do you do to not worry about your anxiety?

Instead, turning toward a feeling means accepting it calmly and without judgment. Because this feeling is part of you—it can be a big, scary, and complicated—and you should listen to it as you would a friend, that is, be open and curious when you face your feelings, let them get out of their prisons and discover what they are doing inside you and what they want from you, and ask yourself, What am I feeling? Is it jealousy? Or is it anger? Or fear? Or unfair autonomy?

Many times, just being calm and accepting the feeling for just a few minutes can calm you down; not being disturbed by the worry can make you less anxious; and other times, feelings carry a lot of important information, which is why they stay and keep running in your head. So turn to the beast and ask it, “Why are you here? What do you want to tell me?” Even your least favorable and most negative feelings, if you listen to them fully and deeply enough, can turn into positive and lively feelings.

Feelings or thoughts? The egg or the chicken?

When you don't feel emotionally fulfilled, your mind will look for a reason and a "story" to explain it. The "story" that your thinking mind gathers comes from everything you've heard, believed, or even not believed. The story can come from your parents' thoughts, friends thoughts, or social media. Or maybe from your social culture, but remember that it may not come from the best place.

Whatever story your thoughts create—whatever picture your brain paints—your body will now physiologically respond to it as if it is exactly right. Dangerous thoughts will make you feel threatened, and this will generate more menacing thoughts.

In this way, inner feelings are amplified and distorted and have physical effects. The tingling, pain and anger you feel in your chest because someone has not responded to your message within 12 hours may turn into feelings, emotions and thoughts, for example, “They don't like me, I don't deserve love.”

Feelings or thoughts

What happens when a person loses access to his basic inner feelings?

The fear and momentary shock of hitting your brakes because someone crossed the road turns into thoughts inside your brain that scream, "How dare they pass me like that? Who do they think they are?" When people lose access to their core feelings or learn to distrust them, all that they have in moments of distress becomes thoughts driven by feelings unknown to them; it may be that autoimmune diseases, in their zealous attempt to defend you and prevent you from harm, attack you aggressively.

The brain cannot rest

Thinking is what we humans do. Any time you are not listening intently to another person or fully engaged in an enjoyable activity, your mind is engaged in what amounts to an endless, What you have done and not done, you make judgments and comparisons, and you reformulate your views and beliefs about life and the world.

Your feelings have something to tell you

Although it may not always seem like this, your feelings just want to help you; they are like loved ones who know you intimately and want to increase your chances of success and minimize experiences of failure or hurt.

They don't have the whole story. They often misjudge things. They influence the way you think and make your decisions. But when you misinterpret them or deal with them, they can explode. Especially when you don't answer their calls most of the time.

In a complex conversation with yourself, you are thinking about your past, relating it to your future, and thinking about the people in your life and what you should do with them.

What kinds of feelings should not be experienced?

Desire has a way of creeping up and taking over once it gets a foothold, so if you've been feeling the urge to get away from your partner, you've recently broken up with someone you know isn't good for you, or you are battling an addiction, it's not a good idea to turn to feelings laden with these cravings.

Embrace them as you would a persecuted child

You may spend a lot of time and effort being rational to prevent these feelings from taking over, but if you have a feeling (or maybe more than one) that is driving you crazy, then let us suggest that you do something a little different.

Turn around and face those feelings. Stop running away or arguing with a feeling you wish didn't exist. Instead, look into its eyes and say, "Hi," accept it, embrace its existence, and accept it as if you met a child of an oppressed ethnic minority historically.

Feelings or thoughts

Fight unwanted feelings with desirable ones

If you add more positive emotions to your life, you are less likely to have room for negative emotions.

Some examples of changes you can make in your daily routine include:

  1. Develop healthy eating habits.
  2. Do yoga.
  3. Take a walk outside.

If you notice that you have unwanted thoughts or feelings in the morning, do these activities as soon as you wake up. Changing the way you think can do wonders.

Talk about it and don't rule out treatment

Many people feel ashamed to admit that they have unwanted thoughts or feelings that they cannot control or even feel guilty about, and they try to deal with their thoughts on their own and hide them from others. But talking about your feelings with someone you trust can be very helpful and help you increase your awareness of what you are doing. It relates to how you feel and what you suffer, and it enables you to develop a whole new perspective on your life.

For some people, it may be easier to talk to a stranger than to someone they know. In this scenario, it can be a good option. There are many types of therapy available. Unwanted thoughts and feelings happen to all of us from time to time, and with a little focus and commitment, you can overcome them.

Determine the causes and triggers

Often, your thoughts are not completely random, and your daily interactions may influence them. Keeping a journal of your negative or unwanted thoughts and feelings can help you understand the patterns or states you experience over time and find their causes or triggers. Keep a record of your general mood and personal notes about your day, and when you start noticing similar thoughts or feelings later, Refer to those notes and see if you can identify any cause or trigger.

Perhaps these thoughts occur when you have a lot of free time, or they may occur after watching a violent or sad movie. By tracking these points, you may be able to identify the root cause, fix the underlying problem, or neutralize the triggers.

In conclusion

If a monster is after you, stop running, turn around, and see what it wants from you. The point is that everything that scares us from within is part of who we are, so it won't kill us; logically, it can't. No, it has something to tell us we need to hear.
