5 Ways to Overcome Low Motivation

Having difficulty gaining motivation? Do you know what you want to do but find it difficult to inspire yourself to take action? Are there reasons why you lack motivation?

Note: This article is from blogger Oleg Mokhov, who shares his personal experience overcoming low motivation.

You can overcome these issues in five different ways, so no worries. You may try a lot to overcome a lack of motivation, accomplish your goals, and begin to see results. However, the environment, events, and unfavourable life factors continually work against you, leading to frustration or self-delusion.

That is a lack of motivation. To make your dreams come true, you must overcome this low motivation, which is an easy task to accomplish.

Making an effort to create a pleasant environment can pay off in the long run. Your new environment will naturally stimulate you, making it easier to overcome low motivation.

5 ways to overcome low motivation

1. Stay away from friends who are holding you back

Avoid friends who waste their time on pointless pursuits, who won't help you realise your dreams or live the life of your dreams, who won't assist you in generating more income, and who, in particular, will discourage you from achieving your goals.

I spent most of my time at university with a few friends, and I had big, audacious plans for my business and unconventional lifestyle, but I had no one to share them with. My friends thought my ideas were unrealistic, which made me lose my excitement for starting my own business. I even doubted myself occasionally. However, I began to spend less time with my old friends and realised that you need someone to ask you, "Why not?" to get over a low motivation period instead of “Why?”

2. Attend seminars

Attend lectures on business or other motivational topics and break up conversations with people. Observe how the conversation will quickly become interesting. Rather than being silenced or told to be realistic, you may present your ideas to them, and together, you can explore how you can attain them because you have a similar perspective.

This kind of support is incredibly inspiring. Attending the inaugural entrepreneurship seminar was like meeting new people. I was surrounded by ambitious and like-minded people who inspired me to turn my life around, so I kept driving to more seminars, striking up conversations, and meeting new people. I found it easy to maintain my motivation and trust in myself.

3. Find clubs and groups that are useful to you

Locate and join groups that interest you. Like in seminars, participating in group discussions with like-minded individuals can enrich your experience and help you polish your skills. Furthermore, there's a strong possibility that some of these individuals will become friends since you have similar interests.

In addition to attending seminars, I could overcome my low motivation by participating in a corporate club at my institution, where we helped one another generate and refine company concepts.

4. Listen to audiobooks and podcasts

Start your day by tuning into podcasts and audiobooks about business, personal growth, and motivation. Positive comments will motivate you even if you already know everything there is to know and don't want to learn anything new.

It's more inspiring to listen to someone who inspires others than to read words. Motivation was waning after the seminars I attended, so I needed to figure out how to maintain it high between sessions.

I discovered that listening to inspirational podcasts and blogs on my phone was the solution. I could listen to a motivational speaker all day while running errands or waiting for my next class. That truly assisted me in maintaining my motivation.

5. Do what you plan to do

It might seem like a no-brainer, but many individuals are so busy encouraging themselves that they don't get much done. Set aside time each day to implement your plans. When you labour, you enjoy the work and see results, which spurs you to work more. Without writing, you wouldn't be a writer; without creating an online business, you wouldn't be an entrepreneur.

Several factors spurred me to keep writing and developing online ventures. However, it was after I got going and I could turn around my lack of drive. The outcomes encouraged me to keep trying and kept me motivated, from helping me with a friend launch our first successful internet business to attracting more unique readers to my website.
